Stillgold

In what was probably the first "real" week of summer 2009, Sandro G. came to Toronto and crashed at our place while organizing this years Still Gold photoshoot, featuring a boatload of familiar Toronto faces. We went out late the night before, Sandro somehow managed to trooper it to the shoot on 4 hours sleep and we proceeded to drink the day away getting weird with WAAAY too many Tranna buds rollin' through the shoot all afternoon only find ourselves at Tim Mcready's Manning house as the day turned into dusk for the best bbq party of the summer! Hundreds of friends, like 8 bands, and unlimited beer and burgers! Yes! Anyways, this photoshoot was an awesome way to start summer! Come back soon Sandro, that was fun.

Color

Here's an illustration I did for the Dylan Doubt edited issue 7.3 of Color, which turned out nicely.
The cover photo is pretty sweet too right? nice choice. And look, There's those two Andrews again, shellin' out some tidbits!

Fenchurch

Earlier this year Sven asked Lukas and I to contribute a page to the Fenchurch 10 year anniversary book he was putting together. It arrived in the mail yesterday, looking awesome, and while flippin' through it I also spied that buds Dennis Chow and Jeremy Shaw(aka CircleSquare) had also been asked to contribute, this small world stuff never ceases to surprise me.

We put together some work for Nuit Blanche on Saturday, across the street from the Polish Combatant Association. It was great, we played screeching weasel's "How to Make Enemies and Irritate People" all night, gave away tons of free zines, and hung out with a lot of adventurous folks.

Here's a link to a event I had work displayed at a few months back. It was a partnership between 7 For All Mankind and The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) where they showcased artworks from NADA Member Galleries in various locations throughout the US. So I was involved through Ambach and Rice Gallery in Seattle, thanks Charlie(& Amanda!)!

I went to Ottawa this weekend to work on a Lifetime Pop-up shop at Nrml. Great weekend, great doods, best food, best tunes, and the install looked badass. Who knew you could have so much fun in our nations capital? not me.

Just put together a newsprint photo zine "Skuzzbucket" for Jer Jansen to coincide with his exhibit opening last friday "So Depressed. Not Impressed" at 107 Shaw, here in Toronto.

SKULLS

I can't help it... I'm drawing skulls again... I've been leaving the subject as "inherently" part of the recent work I've been doing, like... it's implied there's the sentiment of skull and bones there without having to actually RENDER anything, it's always been there, so lets just move on, move forward... but these days I just can't help myself... there's a lot of power in that sort of imagery. Expect some serious skullery by the end of the summer...

BBQ

A couple weeks back, before my trip to vancouver, I went to this party with BBQ playing in the living room at 4 in the morning.
It was awesome!
